TUG OF WAR

The Tug of War Competition is a community-focused sporting event organized as part of our annual cultural celebration. The event will take place on July 11, 2026, at the Dominion Motors Parking Lot, Thunder Bay, Ontario, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The event will bring together teams from across Thunder Bay and surrounding communities to compete in a friendly yet competitive tug-of-war tournament. Participants of various ages and backgrounds will have the opportunity to demonstrate teamwork, strength, and sportsmanship while fostering community connections.

In addition to the competition, attendees will enjoy food vendors, cultural performances, family-friendly activities, music, and entertainment throughout the day. We anticipate approximately 1,200 attendees, including participants, volunteers, families, and spectators.

The purpose of the event is to promote community engagement, encourage healthy recreational activities, celebrate cultural diversity, and create an inclusive environment where people can connect and build lasting relationships. Funds raised through sponsorships and event activities will help support future community programs, cultural initiatives, and annual events organized by our association.

The event will be managed by a dedicated team of volunteers and will include appropriate safety measures, first aid services, and event logistics to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
